Abstract:Based on an independently developed two-stroke low-pressure semi-direct injection aviation engine and control system, researches were carried out in the fuel injection control strategies and influences of the strategies on engine performance. The results show that, different combinations of fuel injection strategies should be adopted for different engine operating conditions. In the starting and idling conditions, the independent fuel supply mode of inlet port injection is adopted. Under partial load and heavy load conditions, the coordinated fuel supply mode of inlet port injection and semi-direct injection is adopted. With the increase of the proportion of semi-direct injection,the brake specific fuel consumption should be reduced. Compared with supplying fuel by the inlet port injection, supplying fuel by the low pressure semi-direct injection can achieve better fuel economy.
