Abstract:In order to improve the performance of diesel rotary engine, the combustion process of diesel rotary engine was studied. In addition, considering the apex seal leakage which is difficult to avoid in the actual working process of the rotary engine, a three-dimensional dynamic calculation model of the peripheral intake rotary engine considering apex seal leakage was established and verified. Combined with the model, the effects of injection time and duration on fuel distribution and combustion process were studied. The results show that when the injection time is 80° in crankshaft angle before top dead center and the injection duration is 50° in crankshaft angle, better combustion and emission characteristics can be obtained. Compared with the original scheme, the in-cylinder peak pressure increased by 11.38%, the soot and CO production decreased by 78.71% and 92.72%, respectively, and the NOx and CO2 production increased.
