Abstract:The tribofilm friction coefficient of the piston ring-liner under the boundary lubrication was measured by the MFT—3000 reciprocating friction and wear tester. The range of working conditions where the boundary lubrication regime would appear was obtained through the lubrication simulation model suitable for the testing machine. Then a blank control test was set up to ensure that the tribofilm could be generated during the test. Through multi-factor (load, frequency and additive mass percentage concentration) tests, the friction coefficient of tribofilm under the boundary lubrication regime of the piston ring-cylinder liner was measured. Based on the original friction calculation model, the influence of the tribofilm was considered, and the friction coefficient of the tribofilm under the boundary lubrication regime was supplemented. Results show that the corrected friction calculation result is closer to the test result, and the calculation accuracy of the average friction is improved by 9.17%.
