Abstract:A Pt/Al2O3 catalyst was prepared from the impregnation of α-Al2O3 foam, and an experimental system for methane reforming was established. By adjusting the reaction parameters, the effects of different reaction parameters (including CH4/O2 ratio, feed gas temperature, N2 volume percent) on the conversion rate of reactants and the selectivity of product were researched. The results show that the increase of catalyst bed temperature can promote the conversion of CH4, the selectivity of H2 and CO, and the ratio of H2/CO. The increase of the N2 volume percent and CH4/O2 ratio will cause a decrease in the temperature of the catalyst bed, which further leads to a reduction in the conversion rate of CH4 and H2/CO ratio, but it would also increase the selectivity of H2 and CO, which may be due to the active oxygen on the surface of the catalyst. By measuring the temperature distribution of the catalyst and analyzing the reaction mechanism of methane by the platinum promoted catalyst, it is found that the rapid and partial catalytic oxidation of methane had multiple reaction paths, and the proportion of very reaction path will change under different reaction conditions. |
