Abstract:In order to solve the problems of compressor surge and backflow during the switching process of the sequential supercharging system of a diesel engine, a coupled GT Power/Simulink sequential supercharging system simulation model was established and the influence was studied of delayed compressor action during the switching process on the compressor surge and backflow. The simulation results showed that the delayed shutdown of any compressor could avoid the compressor surge, and the delayed startup of any compressor could avoid the reverse flow. Through an appropriate valves coupling control strategy, the fluctuation of boost pressure during the switching process could be reduced by 9.3%~21.6%.
