Abstract:In order to study the influence of the structure parameters of the exhaust system of all terrain vehicle(ATV) on heat dissipation, the flow field of the exhaust system was analyzed using Fluent software to obtain the temperature distribution of the muffler wall, and the accuracy of the finite element model was verified by experiments. By setting the muffler baffle hole diameter, the distance to the front baffle muffler ,and the radius of muffler as the design variables, and using the average wall temperature of the exhaust system as the optimization goal, the structure parameters were optimized by the response surface method(RSM), thus obtaining the optimum design variables that could minimize the average temperature of the muffler wall. Finally, the flow field of the improved exhaust system was analyzed and compared. Results show that the reasonable change of the design variables can reduce the wall temperature of the muffler. This allows to decrease the temperature at the 4 test points of the muffler wall by 10.3%,11.5%,8%,10.4% respectively. |
