Abstract:The virtual model of a Europe Ⅵ diesel engine was established and calibrated with the software GT-Power. First, the engine performance was virtually predicted and the prediction accuracy was verified. The areas of emissions were calculated, engine operating points were selected, and design of experiment (DoE) was designed based on a self-created software and the emissions regulation. Next, the virtual engine was used to predict the performance and NOx emission at DoE points. Finally, the emissions and BSFC (brake specific fuel consumption) of the engine were optimized virtually based on the model-based calibration toolbox (MBC) of Matlab with all given ranges of emissions control in the different areas. The maps of electronic control parameters were obtained from the optimized emissions and BSFC without test. |
