Abstract:Based on the self developed high pressure common rail diesel engine electronic control unit(ECU) and the rail pressure control model, the setting value control strategy for the target rail pressure step response of the engine under dynamic conditions was studied. The changes and trends of the target rail pressure obtained by the ECU MAP query were tracked and controlled by introducing the change rate of rail pressure and the gradient. When the target rail pressure value had a step response, a control method of gradually increasing step size and multistep approach to the target rail pressure value was adopted instead of directly using the ECU MAP query value as target control value, which was verified on the engine test bench. Test results show that the method can effectively filter out the mutation of target value caused by jitter or external disturbance, reduce the control of rail pressure beyond the adjustment and speed up the stability of the target rail pressure value, which will improve the fast response and stability of rail pressure control of the engine under dynamic conditions.
