Abstract:For an engine that needed improvement to be adaptive for plateau, effects of adjustable or nonadjustable two-stage turbocharging on the engine performance at plain and plateau were studied. Optimizing measures for turbochargers were proposed after analyzing nonadjustable two-stage turbocharging experiment data, and an adjustable two-stage turbocharging system was finally determined. The experiment results show that using the adjustable two-stage turbocharging system, the engine achieves the target of no power loss at plain. At plateau, the engine achieves relative rated power of 315kW and relative power of 228 kW at peak torque,21% and10.8% lower compared with those at plain respectively. These can meet the engine performance requirements at plateau. |
