摘要:针对天然气点火延迟时间较长问题,开展了电热塞(glow plug, GP)辅助下天然气点火特性数值模拟研究。结果表明GP可以有效促进天然气点火,引燃的火焰快速从GP防护罩圆形开口和底端开口向燃烧室内部蔓延。其中,菱形多开口防护罩更有利于火焰传播,点火延迟差(ignition delay difference, IDD)最小。方形多开口防护罩避免了天然气射流直接撞击GP表面并冷却GP的风险,从而促使GP始终保持高温,有利于天然气点火,温度点火延迟(ignition delay by temperature, IDT)时间小于单开口防护罩。高温可以有效促进天然气点火,在GP温度超过1 400 K时,天然气点火可以忽略防护罩开口设计,单开口防护罩表现出与多开口防护罩一样优异的点火性能(点火时间约为0.3 ms),但也带来了GP使用寿命缩短的风险。
Abstract:In order to address the prolonged ignition delay of natural gas, a numerical simulation study on the ignition characteristics of natural gas assisted by glow plug(GP) was carried out. Results indicate that the GP effectively facilitates natural gas ignition, with the flame rapidly propagating from the circular opening and the bottom of the GP shield into the combustion chamber. Notably, the diamond multi-opening shield enhances flame propagation more effectively, and the ignition delay difference(IDD) is the smallest. The square multi-opening shield design prevents the natural gas jet from directly impinging on and cooling the GP surface, ensuring that the GP remains at an optimal temperature for ignition and reducing the ignition delay by temperature(IDT), compared to a single-opening shield. Additionally, elevated temperatures enhance natural gas ignition. When the GP temperature exceeds 1 400 K, the shield opening design becomes unnecessary. In these conditions, although a single-opening shield can achieve similar ignition performance with ignition time of about 0.3 ms, it may adversely affect the GP’s lifespan.
