Abstract:A non-road high pressure common rail diesel engine was taken as the research object. Based on the results of piston temperature test under calibration power condition, finite element simulation model of piston with different thickness of thermal barrier coating was established. The distribution characteristics and changes law of the thermal barrier coating on the temperature field, thermal stress and thermal deformation of the piston matrix were analyzed. Research results show that, the maximum temper-ature of the thermal barrier coating piston has the largest decrease of 14.83% compared with the aluminum alloy piston. The thermal stress of the thermal barrier coating piston decreased with the increase of the ceramic layer thickness, and it has the largest decrease of 42.44% compared with the aluminum alloy piston. The radial thermal deformation of the piston in the direction parallel to the axis of pin hole is greater than in the direction perpendicular to the axis of pin hole, and the difference in the magnitude of the change results in uneven thermal deformation of the piston.
