Abstract:The nozzle size was changed and designed, based on a commercial electromagnetically driven scroll nozzle, and analyzed the mass flow rate, spray development process, atomization angle, nozzle delay and particle size distribution through experiments. The results show that: The mass flow rate of optimized nozzle is higher than that of original nozzle, and linearity of mass flow rate is close to that of original commercial nozzle. When the nozzle diameter increased from 0.55mm to 0.7mm, the spray development was faster, the fuel flow rate increased by 56%, the atomization angle increased by 10 degrees, but the spray instability increased, and particle size increased, under the same injection time (5ms) and injection pressure (9.5MPa). The atomization angle varies greatly under different injection pressure, and the spray profile near nozzle is related to the design of the orifice, and the mass flow rate will increase with the increase of injection pressure. When the injection pressure rises, the volume fraction of the atomized particle size distribution in range of 10μm~20μm will increase accordingly, which can improve the atomization. |
